Description

Provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials and supervision necessary to renovate 29 rooms and the corridors located on the fourth (4th) floor, A Wing. The contractor is responsible for removal/disposal of all debris, trash, and removed fixtures/furniture generated by the work (unless otherwise noted). Work will consist of but is not limited to removal/disposal of furnishing, shelving, carpeting, light fixtures with some exceptions, wallpaper, ceiling tiles, cove base, fire retardent paneling (RFP), medicine cabinets and sink; wall preparation, painting, installing new cove base, installing ceiling/floor tiles, installation of RFP paneling, replacement of switches and switch covers, receptacles and receptacle covers, installation of vanity, sink, side splash, medicine cabinet, overhead light, shelving and electrical work in the rooms and renovation of the corridors will include removal/disposal of wallpaper, cover base, ceiling tile and flourescent light fixtures that are not connected to the emergency power system, wall preparation, painting, installation of cove base, ceiling tiles, chair rails and corner guards, replacement of switch/switch covers, receptacles and covers and wall light fixtures. Prospective bidders must request the solicitation in writing prior to issue date of March 25, 2002. Facsimile and e-mail requests are acceptable. Closing date for the receipt of bids is April 25, 2002.
