Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina, requires the services of a Medical Laboratory Clerk to provide clerical support to the FMC Butner, Medical Referral Laboratory. Contractor services will be provided 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. All basic supplies shall be furnished by FMC Butner. This solicitation is anticipated to result in a single award, Firm-fixed Price contract. The NAICS code is 561110. The contractor must adhere to specific rules and regulations of the department and institution. Any individual working within the confines of FMC Butner must undergo a background investigation and drug test prior to being permitted inside the institution. The government may award the contract without discussions, therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer initially. The anticipated term of the contract includes a base period from date of award through September 30, 2002, and four one year option periods. The FBOP anticipates posting the solicitation to the government electronic point of entry, Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) www.fedbizopps.gov on or about March 19, 2002. Closing due date for proposals is April 10, 2002. All responsible sources meeting the requirements listed in the solicitation may submit a proposal which will be considered by the FBOP.
