Description: NA This is a notice of intent to negotiate and award a single source fixed price service and supply requirements type contract with Honeywell Defense & Space Inc., Tempe, AZ for new and re-engineered parts used in the overhaul of the AGT 1500 Turbine Engine. Proposed contract will be for a period of 1 year with option to extend the contract two (2) additional one (1) year periods. The contract will be awarded pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requi rement. Honeywell Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer and is the only known source capable of manufacturing and engineering the required parts to repair the AGT 1500 Turbine Engine. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government i ntends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Infor mation received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The estimated value of this contract will not exceed $50 million.
