- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), has a requirement to use linked pharmacy databases for the study of safety issues, particularly suspected or known adverse events associated with the use of biological products. The contractor will work on post-licensure evaluation of issues pertaining to biological products. Safety is the prime focus, however other issues, such as efficacy and expanding indications may be studied. Epidemiologic studies on specific biological products to be determined by CBER, will be performed. The contractor shall have an existing database that covers a minimum of 500,000 individuals. Larger populations are desirable. RFP available on or about 3/15/02. Technical questions shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer no later than 14 calendar days after release of the RFP. Modification No. 1 to this synopsis will change the response date from May 16, 2002 to April 18, 2002.
