Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement to replace two hydraulic elevators and to perform major renovation to one hydraulic and two traction elevators at the United States Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas. Elevators are located inside the secure perimeter of the institution. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 235950. Performance time for this project is 362 calandar days from notice to proceed. Bid, performance and payment bonds will be required. Solicitation package will be available on the internet on or about April 30, 2002. The solicitation will be available on or after April 30, 2002 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunites web site http: www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition..All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
