- Description
- The purpose of this sources sought notice it to obtain information of qualified, certified and interested 8(a) HUBZone sources in SBA Region 3, with experience relative to NAICS Code 233320 (size standard $28.5 million average annual receipts for preceding three fiscal years). This acquisition will be a competitive 8(a) HUBZone set aside, and it would be open to firms located in Region 3 (Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia and West Virginia). We are requesting all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with the following information: (1) name, address, phone, fax, e-mail and website if applicable; (2) a list (not to exceed 5) Simplified Acquisition Base Engineering Requirement (SABER) or similar (JOC, IDIQ, etc) your firm currently holds or has completed within the last three years; and (3) your bonding capacity per contract/action. The list of relevant contracts should include the location, contract number, description, estimated yearly value, performance dates, and Government point(s) of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) with phone and fax numbers. Please limit your responses to 5 pages. This information must be faxed to (302) 677-2907 or (302) 677-2905 and marked to the attention of Nancy Chronister or e-mailed to nancy.chronister@dover.af.mil by 18 Apr 02. This contract will be Firm Fixed Price Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity type contract with economic price adjustment and will include a wide variety of individual construction tasks. Performance period is one year for the basic plus four, 12-month option periods. The guaranteed minimum contract amount is $300,000.00 for the basic period and any option exercised, with a maximum, but not guaranteed, amount of $30,000,000.00 over the life of the contract. Work for this contract will include, but is not limited to, a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction at Dover AFB Delaware. The work is required in support of the 436th Civil Engineering Squadron. During the contract period, construction tasks will be identified to the contractor, who then must furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to design, manage and accomplish the job. The contractor shall be required to maintain a management office at Dover AFB, DE in order to receive work requests and to provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. Individual jobs will vary in size ranging from $2,000.00 to $500,000.00. The estimated number of delivery orders per year will range between 20 and 40. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of trades, such as carpentry, roofing, excavation, interior and exterior electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, demolition, concrete masonry, environmental, etc. The solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) and Commerce Business Daily (CBD) webpage on or about 1 Aug 02. The solicitation package and any amendments will only be available electronically. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Once the solicitation is posted, it is imperative that interested parties review the website for updates/amendments. The closing date for submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package. Prospective contractors must complete the Employment Report on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era (VETS-100 report) and must be registered in the Central Contractor?s Registration (CCR) database prior to award of the government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to submit the VETS-100 report and register in the CCR will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration in CCR requires applicants to have a DUNS number. If you do not know your DUNS number, you may call 1-800-333-0505 to obtain one. This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for contract award. When the solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the FedBizOpps website and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation separately from the response to this sources sought notice.
