Description
NA HQ US Army Communications-Electronics Command proposes to utilize sealed bid procedures to award multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) for modified commercial Yanmar Diesel Engines. Two NSN are being solicited. The first is NSN: 2815-01-419-8704, Co mmercial Part Number L48AE-DEG, P/O 2KW Generators MEP 501A, 531A. The second is NSN: 2815-01-465-5993, Commercial Part Number L70AE-DEGFR, P/O 3KW Generators MEP 831A, 832A. This effort is being solicited as a Small Business Set-Aside under a NAICS code of 23411 with a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. Competition is therefore limited to authorized Yanmar dealers, or to an offeror working directly with Yanmar, who have 500 or fewer employees. The Government intends select multiple contracto rs for award of the BPAs for either or both of the diesel engines. The period of performance for each BPA shall be five (5) years. Post-award delivery orders shall be competed amongst all qualified BPA holders utilizing Reverse Auction procedures. All q ualified BPA holders will be notified electronically with the auction details and delivery requirements as needs develop. Post-award Reverse Auction participation procedures shall be set forth in the solicitation. The BPA awards contain no obligation. T he Government reserves the right to award one (1) ?all or none? Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract in lieu of BPA should be determined to be in the Government?s best interest. The target date for release of solicitation DAAB07-02-B-D606 is 5 April 2002. The solicitation and its technical data package can be downloaded from the CECOM Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP). The IBOP URL is: https://abop.monmouth.army.mil /busopor27.nsf/Login?readform. Due to changes in security, offerors must be registered IBOP users to download solicitation documents. No paper distribution of the solicitation shall be made. All bids shall be submitted by the time and place specified in the solicitation. Numbered Note 1 applies to this acquisition.
