Description
Furnish all labor, equipment and materials to install new accessible precast concrete vault toilets at Mt. Ashland, Independence, O'Neil, Grouse Gap, Gottsvile, Jones Beach, West Branch, Grider Creek, Shafter, and Sarah Totten recreational sites on the Klamath National Forest. The toilets are a combination of 12 Gunnison ad Cascadian single models and one Cascadian double model, manufactured by CXT Precast Products Division. Toilet installaiton includes: demolition and removal of 15 existing toilets and vaults, pumping existing vaults, filling the vault excavations and reshaping the site as close as possible to the original surrounding slope; clearing for 13 new toilets including clearing for needed backfill and for the crane to unload the toilets; excavation for 13 toilet vaults: placement of an aggregate leveling course in the excavation; backfill and embankment around placed toilets; constructing parking areas, connecting trails, painting parking striping and ADA parking symbols, and placing boulders as shown on the drawings. Contractor shall coordinate with the toilet manufacturer for delivery schedules and for manufacturer's installation instructions. Toilet manufacture, delivery, and unloading into the excavation will be done by others. The Contractor shall have suitable equipment at the site at the time of toilet delivery to assist installation crew and the crane with access to the toilet installation site. Contract time: Complete entire work ready for use not later than 30 days after delivery of the last toilet. Estimate: Between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Numbered note 1 applies.
