Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR TWO DIMENSIONAL, DUAL LASER MACHINING SYSTEM. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide questions and answers received in response to the RFQ for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Question 1: The RFQ indicates FOB Destination yet cheaper shipping rates may be obtained by using FOB Origin. Will the solicitation be changed to FOB Origin? Answer 1: The delivery information in the RFQ will remain FOB Destination. Question 2: Your Item #2 - Auto Depth z-axis adjust - this is specifically called for in the bid for the system, so we included it in the main quote. Is there a need for the additional line item that contains this option? Answer 2: If you have included your pricing or cost for the auto depth z-axis adjust in your line item price break out for the dual laser maching system, insert the statement "included in item 1" in the area for the line item unit price for the auto depth z-axis. Question 3: Is it possible to receive progress payments on this procurement, i.e., a 15% deposit with award of the order and the outstanding balance payable after completion of installation? Answer 3: Progress payments will be allowable for this procurement in accordance with the Federal Acquistiion Regulations. All terms and conditions of RFQ 1-204-RFW.1025 REMAIN UNCHANGED. The due date for receipt of offers IS NOT extended and REMAINS MARCH 22, 2002. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on March 14, 2002. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
