Description

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking sealed bids for IFB--C-1C0810/JDC for Contract 1C0810. This contract consists of erecting canopies over portions of the existing WMATA station platform (National Airport Station) and providing updated signage for the station. These canopies will be erected on approximately 300 feet of the uncovered portions of the existing inbound and outbound sections of the platform. Erection of the canopies will start at the north side escalators to the south to the already covered portion of the platform. The work will include, but not be limited to the following activities: architectural, civil, structural, electrical, and communications (including telephone, emergency call boxes and closed circuit television), required testing and reports. Estimated Cost range: $ 1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Contract duration 180 cds. Bid Opening on 5/1/02. Pre-bid conference 4/17/02 on site, meet at the North kiosk at 10:00 A.M.
