Final bid documents are being issued to the general contractors the week of December 24, 2001 for pricing purposes. Dodge 600 Waterfront Drive, Suite 200 Pittsburgh, PA 15222-4717 Phone: (412) 330-2205 Fax: (412) 231-6662 Contact: Ms. Gale Gillespie; Ms. Kellie Wehrer Due to new security regulations on the release of construction documents, prior to viewing and/or copying the documents, firms must fax a copy of their state issued contractors license or business license to the attention of Mr. Tom Warner , URS Corporation, GSA's contracted Construction Manager, at (304) 233-2597. Two days after faxing this info, they may contact one of the three places to access the documents they need. Documents shall be available at these locations beginning on or about December 31, 2001. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on January 17, 2002 at the Ramada Plaza City Center Hotel, 1200 Market Street, Wheeling, WV (1st Floor, Room 100). Prior notification of attendance to this conference is mandatory for seating purposes. Contractors and subcontractors are requested to notify Michelle Garofalo, at the General Services Administration, telephone (215-656-6110), with the names of persons who will attend the conference. Notification must be made by January 11, 2002. To assist general contractors in identifying potential subcontractors in order to meet or exceed GSA's socio-economic business goals, GSA is hosting a Networking Session, as part of the conference, for all general contractors and potential subcontractors. It is planned that this session will begin approximately 1 p.m. (after a lunch break) on January 17th. Proposals from general contractors are due by 3 p.m. on January 31, 2002. The remainder of the acquisition process for this project will proceed as follows: Receipt and evaluation of price proposals, and any additional technical information; Development of competitive range; Oral presentations and interviews of firms in the competitive range, if required by GSA; Upon completion of negotiations, receipt and evaluation of final offers (negotiations may not be required, and GSA does reserve the right to make an award without negotiations). A formal selection of a firm shall be made that offers the greatest value to the Government based on a combination of technical evaluation and price factors. The NAICS code applicable to this project is 233320. This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
