- Description
- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HubZone 8(a), 8(a), HubZone, Small, Small disadvantaged and Large Business relative to NAICS Code 325998, size standard of 500 employees. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this announcement a solicitation announcement will be published in the CBD if necessary. Responses to the announcement are not adequate responses. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sole source announcement. The New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), Albuquerque, NM, VISN 18, is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide all necessary equipment labor and materials necessary to provide chemical treatment for the energy plant: systems and processes include: 3 cooling towers, 3 boilers, 1 chilled water system, 7 building loops #1,2,3,6,41,45,46. Water management for the NMVAHCS: all systems must be self-contained to permit the ultimate goal of complete product stewardship and safety. The system bust be maintained with control limits on the towers as product at +/-1 ppm of chemical residual automatically maintained by equipment that check product on line and in real time. Boilers must be maintained at present levels of control, with no scale. Local, state, and federal agencies to insure compliance with all programs must license all vendor personnel. Products utilized in the steam system must be food grade additive products that have no reportable spill quantities, and be FDA and USDA grade products. Product must not contain amines. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, and point of contact, cage code, size of business pursuant to North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS). This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award a contract. Responses to this notice shall be mailed to the attention of Kathryn Ogilvie (90C), New Mexico VA Health Care System, 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Telephone and/or e-mail responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 3:00 PM on April 8, 2002 and may be faxed to (505) 256-2894. Firms responding to the announcement, which fail to provide all of the required information cannot be considered by the government in making the acquisition decision, which is the intent of this synopsis. No solicitation is currently available; all firms responding to this notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date in the CBD, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation
