Description

This is a combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and therefore, a formal solicitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. Quotes are solicited with this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-3. The Television-Audio Support Activity intends to procure the following: 2 EACH CAMERA SYSTEM, COLOR VIDEO SONY PN: BVP950; W/OPTS NTSC; 12 BIT ADSP CAMERA SHELL; INCL -3:3 520K FIT INTEGRATED IMAGING CAPSULE OPTICAL BLOCK(PN: OHB750A); TRIAX CAMERA APADTER (PN: CA570) ;WIDE BAND CCU (PN: CCU550A); DUAL DIAL TYPE REMOTE CONTROL (PN: RCP701); SDI OUTPUT MODULE F/CCU (PN: BKP5972); CONTROL PANEL F/CCU (PN: BKP5973); 2 EACH VIEWFINDER CAMERA PN: BVF-55 5 INCH COLOR NTSC HIGH RESOLUTION; 1 EACH ADAPTER CAMERA PN: CA570; TRIAX; F/U/W SONY MODEL BVP-950 CAMERA & CCU700A/550A; CAMERA 1 EACH CONTROL UNIT CAMERA PN: CCU550A; INCLUDES - DUAL DIAL TYPE REMOTE CONTROL (PN: RCP701); SDI OUTPUT MODULE (PN: BKP5972); & FRONT CONTROL PANEL (PN: BKP5973); POWER REQTS 120/240VAC, 50/60 HZ ; AUTO SWITCHABLE; .Proposals are requested priced for FOB Destination delivery. The destination point is AMERICAN FORCES INFORMATION SERVICE, ALEXANDRIA,VA 22314 . The Government anticipates negotiating and entering into a contract on a sole source basis with SONY ELECTRONICS, INC. 9901 BUSINESS PARKWAY, LANHAM, MD 20706, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The brand name and part number are provided for reference only. Offerors proposing to provide other than the requested items shall include specification data sufficient to enable the Government to determine the capability of the offered items to meet the requirements stated above. The applicable NAICS code is 334220, size standard of 750 employees. However, all proposals received at the time established for the receipt of proposals will be considered by the Government. Responses to this notice should be provided in writing by 1 APRIL 2002, 4:00 PM PDT.
