Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA), intends to negotiate a sole source justified acquisition with Isogon Corporation, Dawsonville, Georgia, 30534 for the upgrade of software when System 71, a Hitachi SL 827, is replaced with an IBM 1C6 CPU, at 1295 MIPS s/n 11D63 and maintenance to support the replacement of System 71, a Hitachi SL 827 at 975 MIPS, with an IBM 1C6 CPU at 1275 MIPS s/n 11D63 for the term of February 17, 2002 through September 30, 2002. This software is mandatory for the execution of production and test programs used to conduct daily data processing requirements at the National Computer Center. Isogon developed the software under a competitively awarded contract and has maintained this software since the early 90?s. This software is proprietary to Isogon. Isogon is the only source known capable of providing the required services. Interested sources who feel they have the ability to perform the services required can identify their capability to London Clark, Contracting Officer, Office of Acquisitions and Grants, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21207-5279, e-mail London.Clark@ssa.gov. Responses must be received by 3:00 pm on March 29, 2002. Interested sources must also provide Section 508 information on their product by completing the Section 508 Evaluation Template. The website is www.section508.gov. The Governement will consider all responses but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely under the discretion of the Government. This is neither a request for quotation nor an annoucement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no viable responses are received by March 29, 2002, the Government will issue a Purchase Order to Isogon Corporation.
