Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology intends on entering into a sole-source procurement with the National Governors Association (NGA), Center for Best Practices under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1)-Only one responsible source. The procurement is to support the science and technology capacity elements of the NGA Initiative "State Leadership in the Global Economy". These elements will include initiative research activities and technical assistance to the states, eastern and western regional competitive forums and the support of the initiative by the Council on Competitiveness. The NGA is uniquely qualified due to its representation of the governors of each state of the United States and the needed contacts this allows. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded on or about April 29th, 2002. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No RFP is available.
