Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in far subpart 12.6-streamlined procedures for evaluation and solicitation for commercial items-as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with FAR Part 13. The original solicitation was an Invitation for Bids (IFB) previously posted as #51RANB20C002 on July 6, 2001 and will now be issued as RA-1341-02-RB-0002. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04. The NAICS Code is 812332. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for rental of new uniforms and jackets with logo patch, including pickup, delivery, laundry and uniform maintenance to the Engineering, Maintenance, Safety, and Support Division (EMSS) of NIST/ Boulder Laboratories. The period of performance will begin from the contract award date through September 30, 2002, with renewal options consisting of up to four (4) successive twelve (12) month periods. The services required shall consist of a comprehensive program to provide and maintain a quality employee uniform program for bargaining unit employees and other designated employees with the quantity and quality of uniforms and jackets necessary to present and achieve a unified customer service oriented identity and image. The total count of uniform sets and jackets to be furnished are for 38 to 40 personnel, plus or minus future adjustments. Pickup and delivery shall be at NIST, 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO, with specific drop-off and pick up points to be designated by EMSS. All requests for this solicitation shall include the complete company name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address.
