Description
The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) intends to acquire approximately 21,500 Beretta model 96D Brigadier .40 S&W pistols, along with an undetermined amount of magazines and various replacement parts, from Beretta USA Corp., 17601 Beretta Drive, Accokeek, MD 20607, using sole source contract. This action is under authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed action will be an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for one year with four option years. The Beretta Model 96D Brigadier has been designated as the standard INS pistol for all uniformed officers and this action is to satisfy INS needs for additional units and replacement parts. No solicitation is available; however interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement, to the contract specialist listed below, within 15 days of this announcement. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however all proposals received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See note 22.
