- Description
- This is a combined SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this Notice. This announcement constitutes a request for quotations and is the only solicitation that will be issued; NO WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. The Solicitation number is DTFH61-02-Q-00059 and is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-06. The North American Product Classification System Code is 611710 and the small business standard is $6 million. THIS REQUIREMENT IS AN UNRESTRICTED PURCHASE, ALL BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED REGARDLESS OF BUSINESS SIZE. The Federal Highway Administration, on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), has a requirement for training space for the NEW MCMIS TRAINING. The FMCSA requires the following: Training space for 4 full days (Access to computer rooms for 1-day the day prior to the training (on a Monday) to set up everything, actual training is 3 full days), space shall include a large conference room that would accommodate 150 ? 170 for opening remarks, and 6-8 computer classroom that could hold 20-25 people each. The training space must include computers with the following requirements: Intel 1600 MHZ Processor; 256 MB Physical memory; 101-key keyboard; Serial mouse; 20 GB hard drive; 10/100 Mbps network adapter (PCI twisted pair, Cat 5 or 6 compatible); 15? or 17? color monitor; 3 ?? (1.44 Mb) floppy disk drive; 20X ? CD-Rom drive; AGP video adapter; AGP video memory; Access to ISP (internet) (either each computer or through a facilities network that each computer would have access to). Software shall include: Microsoft Windows Professional 2000 (service packs installed); Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 with 128 bit encryption; Microsoft Office 2000 Professional Suite (service packs installed) or Office Professional XP (if available). The following equipment shall be available: 2 flip charts in each training room and LCD projector and screen in each room if monitors are not available. Lodging either on-site (individual rooms per person with bathroom?.no sharing of bathroom facilities), or, at a hotel with-in walking distance, or at a hotel that will provide transportation to and from the training site. NOTE: If hotel is on-site include a separate bid for the hotel space. Convenient access to restaurants. Breaks provided during the meeting (coffee, tea, juice, and sodas). Registration area. Easy access from BWI International Airport, Reagan National Airport, or Dulles International Airport. The space shall be available sometime between the last week in July through the middle of September in the Washington, DC/Baltimore, Maryland area. The following FAR clauses are applicable by statute to this solicitation: FAR 52.213-4, Terms and Conditions - Simplified Acquisitions (Other than Commercial Items). Your quote MUST include sufficient information to address the requirements above. This may include brochures or other documents. Provide a list of dates that the training space is available (from July through September). Also include your company name, address, contact person, phone and fax number, your business size, payment terms, Federal Tax Identification and DUNS number. An on-site visit may be requested prior to award. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about April 26, 2002.
