- Description
- This procurement is for a base quantity of 37 Portable closed-loop Filtration carts that will be used to extend the useable life of the fluid used in wet magnetic particle testing. Essentially, the unit, using 110V single phase power running a suitable pump and motor combination, will allow the drawing of fluid from the magnetic particle test unit fluid holding tank into a filtering system on the cart, and return it to the holding tank in a continuous loop operation. The filtration process will continue until the desired fluid clarity is achieved. The cart shall have wheels and be ergonomically designed to facilitate ease of operation and maneuverability by one person. The approximate envelope dimensions of the cart shall be 40 in. height x 24 in. width x 18 in. length and the cart shall weigh no more than 100 lbs. dry. Submission of logistical support data will also be required as part of the contract. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying "commercial items" as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The RFP will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Business participation. (NAICS 333319). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the Best Value to the Government based on technical, logistics, past performance, past experience and price. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR Homepage located at www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business", then "Doing Business With Us" and "Open Solicitation". The solicitation (N68335-02-R-0026) will be posted on or around the 19th of April, 2002. HARD COPIES WILL NOT BE MAILED TO CONTRACTORS.
