Description
The New Mexico Veterans Administration Health Care System (NMVAHCS), 1501 San Pedro Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 intends to solicit for one or more contractors to provide medical services through a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) within the boundaries of Durango, CO. The potential contract will be for one base year with four one year option periods. BIDS/OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. A formal solicitation will be issued on or after April 11, 2002. It is estimated that the facility will provide medical care for up to 1400 patients during the base year and up to 1800 patients during each of the option periods. The contractor(s) may have one or more primary care facility sites to privde primary care to the enrolled veterans. The contractor will furnish all health care providers, medical facilities, medical equipment and supplies, short-term pharmaceutical prescriptions, and all administrative functions to fulfill the level of care and range of services necessary to meet the primary medical needs of the enrolled patients. It is estimated that 12% fo the enrolled patients will be less than 45 years of age; 41% of the enrolled patients will be from 45 to 64 years of age; and 47% of the enrolled patients will be from 65 to 90 years of age.
