Description
The US Army TACOM ARDEC is seeking potential small businesses capable of providing maintenance and remedial/emergency repair for Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The task requirements will include: 1) Repair, adjustments, parts, maintenance supplies, disassembly, and assembly, utility connects and disconnects associated with IPE to include electronics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems. 2) Repairs on controls ranging from single component replacement to complete retrofits with new controls and drives. 3) Mechanical repairs ranging from part replacement to complete unit replacement, rebuilding/remanufacturing of units/parts, and fabrication of replacement components. 4) The contractor shall be knowledgeable and experienced in servicing a broad range of conventional IPE and ancillary equipment including mills, lathes, drills, grinders, jig borers, saws, sheet metal equipment, welding equipment, presses, heat treating equipment, compressors, etc. 5) The contractor must be knowledgeable and experienced in servicing NC/CNC equipment- specifically Hurco Machining Centers, K&T Machining Centers 2B/II/VB2/1015, G&L lathes 40U/50U, Hardinge Lathe, J&L lathe 312, DeVleig Jigmil, W&S SC 25, South Bend CNC turning centers, Agie Wire EDM, and Charmilles Wire EDM. 6) The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, parts, tools, test equipment and transportation as required for the completion of the services needed. To be considered highly responsive to the RFP, the prospective contractor must demonstrate satisfactory past performance and substantially similar experience in providing all of the services described above. Contractor personnel must have experience pertinent to the specific equipment listed above. Contractor must be able to respond within two hours for emergency service requests, and provide a maximum of three service mechanics when back-log of repairs require such levels of effort. Contractor must demonstrate operational and management capability to obtain parts/supplies in an expeditious manner with existing accounts with local suppliers and original factory/manufacturing sources. All small businesses that feel they are capable of supplying the above mentioned standards are invited to indicate their interest by providing brochures, specifications, and/or any other materials pertinent to the perspective contractual requirements within two weeks (11 April 2002) to US Army TACOM ARDEC, ATTN: Roger West, AMSTA-AR-WEA , Bldg 3150, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806.
