Description
TOP SOIL. 1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Solicitation F65501-02-TA008 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-5. 4) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 422990; Size standard: 100 employees. 5) ITEM(S): Top Soil. Quantity/Unit of Issue: 2865 Cubic Yards (CD). 6) DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS: Top soil containing: ph 5.5 -6.5, organics, 15%-25%, sand 40% - 50%, silt 15% - 35%. Must pass through a 8MM screen and be free of sticks, rocks, and any other debris. 7) DELIVERY: FOB DESTINATION to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. Delivery must begin on 3 June 2002 accumulating at least 990 cubic yards no later than 14 June 2002, thereafter maintaining no less than a 990 cubic yard stockpile until the total quantity has been delivered. All topsoil shall be delivered no later than 12 July 2002. Topsoil will be delivered to the Cherry Hill snow dump area located at the west end of Runway 5 on Elmendorf AFB between 0800 and 1500 hours Monday through Friday. 8) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. 9) FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-- Commercial Items. Award will be made based on the low price/technically acceptable offer. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. 10) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items with Alternate 1 with the offer.
