Description
NA The PM-WIN-T FMS office plans to acquire an ActiveX Control that provides mapping and charting functions for use in software packages developed for the IMSE program and a Geographic Information System (GIS) that supports creation or modification of maps an d other terrain data that can be used seamlessly with the ActiveX Control provided. The ActiveX control must be suitable for use within Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP operating environments. A software development kit and approximately 40 licenses to support development and test of the IMSE end product are required. The GIS must be available in Standard American English and in Chinese using Traditional Chinese Characters. Training in the use o f the GIS is required and must be conducted in Chinese (Mandarin) on site in Taiwan. A software tactical decision aid to support military communications network managers and operators in the deployment and operation of IMSE equipment is also required. The tactical decision aid is intended to provide an electronic analog to a commonly used management aid consisting of acetate covered paper maps frequently used with 'push-pin', marker pen and/or thread symbols to depict military communications networks. Thi s application must also be bilingual (English and Traditional Chinese characters) with respect to menus, messages, text entry screens, and text output screens. Training in the use of this software application is required and will cover use of the software application and methods required to exchange information with other software applications. This training will be conducted in the U.S., using the Standard English language. Reference Numbered Note 22.
