Description

NA The USA Robert Morris Acquisition Center-Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA, in support of the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command, Soldier Systems Command, intends to conduct negotiations and award a purchase order to Crye Associates, B rooklyn Navy Yard, Building 275 Suite 303, Brooklyn, NY 11205 on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302. A Firm Fixed Price purchase order is anticipated. The proposed contract action is for six (6) nonfunctional marketing units of the conceptual Objective Force Warrior (OFW) Helmets for use in demonstrations and marketing. Minimum requirements for OFW Helmets are: resemble appearance of a functioning OFW Helmet that demonstrat es integrated night vision; integrated heads up display; integrated goggle system; integrated GPS antenna; detachable face guard; and integrated ICIDS. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit p roposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Crye Associates produced partially functional units of the conceptual OFW Helmets previously in response to 01-03 Natick BAA. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, ATTN: AMSSB-ACN-S (Scott Tyler), Natick, MA 01760-5011 to be received no later than 4:00 PM Eastern 13 MAY 02.
