- Description
- Storage services for the Dept. of Energy's home heating oil reserve. A total of 2,000,000 barrels of storage are required; up to 1,000,000 barrels (500,000 bbl increments)in the New York harbor area, and up to 2,000,000 barrels (250,000 bbl increments)in the New England area. Existing heating oil in the reserve will be transferred or moved to the successful contractor's facilities. Contractors may submit offers for storage only, storage and movement of heating oil, or movement of heating oil. Performance period will be October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003, with four one-year options to renew. The solicitation will be posted on the DESC's web site on or about April 15, 2002. All interested parties may submit an offer, which will be considered.
