Description
Solicitation is for seven items identified as Strategic Material Sourcing NSNs. The NSNs are 5850-01-387-4174, 5910-01-116-2626, 5935-00-972-0491, 5935-01-390-8825, 5935-01-445-5678, 5950-01-175-0908, and 5999-00-879-1521. Quantities vary, as the procurement is to establish an Indefinite Quantity contract for these items for one base year and two option years. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. Notes 12 and 26 are applicable. The solicitation will be available on its issue date of 4/19/02 at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided by the buyer. The Small business size is 500 employees, and the procurement is unrestricted. Drawings are available for 5935-01-445-5678, and full and open competition applies. However, it is impractical to distribute the applicable drawings/bid sets with the solicitation, and it is impractical for the buyer to manually distribute these to each interested party. The applicable drawings are available at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. If the drawings are not posted at this web site, see Clause L07-Availability of Drawings for information on how to obtain the drawings. Federal, Military and Commercial Specifications cannot be provided by DSCC. For the other six items, specifications, plans or drawings are not available. As stated above, the proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 3 years. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
