Description

The project consist of the construction of a 9-person barracks, approximately 2,016 square feet. The barracks shall be wood-frame construction with metal siding and metal roof. Items of work include, but are not limited to: cast-in-place concrete, framing, prefabricated wood trusses, plywood sheathing, insulation, gypsum board, windows and doors. vinyl flooring and carpet, plumbing, electrical, toilet and bath accessories, kitchen casework, appliances and furniture, heating ventilation and air conditiioning. Also included in the items of work is the installation of underground utilities to connect the building utilities to the services available at the Slypark Hot Shot Base. The project is located at the USDA Forest Service, Slypark Hot Shot Base, 5420 Slypark Road, Pollock Pines, CA 95726, approximately 14 miles east of Placerville, CA on Highway 50 to Slypark Road, then approximately 7 miles south to the base. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. There will be a pre-proposal meeting at 9:00 am on April 30, 2002 at the project site. The solicitation package is expected to be available on April 17, 2002. Responses are due on May 20, 2002 at close of business. Estimated start work date is July 1, 2002.
