- Description
- The 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB, DC, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price commercial, simplified acquisition purchase order, on a sole source basis, to the University of California (Beckman Center), Irvine. The AF/SB Office at the Pentagon, Washington, DC, wishes to procure on the behalf of the Scientific Advisory Board a Conference Facilitator arrangement in which the Contractor will handle all details pertaining to their 2002 Summer Session Market Survey Conference to be held 17 ? 28 Jun 02. This includes providing facilities, computer networking and support, graphics support and administrative services. The Contractor will deliver a turn-key conference by providing meeting space, a Local Area Network with servers and technical support, PCs, laptops and peripherals necessary to support a meeting of all 110 members of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board. Due to the security classification of the discussions, the Board shall have exclusive access and use of the area in which the conference rooms are located. Eight (8) meeting rooms shall be capable of supporting classified discussions up to Secret with one (1) of the eight rooms cleared for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) discussions and storing classified materials up to Secret. Rooms shall be currently certified for this level of security IAW the Director of Center Intelligence Directive (DCID) 1/21, Physical Security Standards for SCI Facilities. Conference facility shall have Ethernet infrastructure to all eight (8) conference rooms, large conference room (auditorium) and ten (10) offices and technical support areas. Locality restrictions dictate that the conference facility shall be in and around the Irvine and Anaheim, CA, area in order to be close to logistics support being provided by area Air Force bases. In addition, lodging and conference facility must be collocated or within 5 miles distance. Conference and lodging facility shall be located within 20 miles to a major airport with at least 150 daily nonstop flights. Award is intended for a Base Period of 12 months, with two 12-month Option Years. Award of this solicitation will be made on or about 30 Apr 02. NAICS Code 611310.
