Description
Correction to Notice published March 12, 2002 in FebBizOps. NAWCWD intends to issue a Time and Materials order for packing, marking and shipping support of Thin-Pack E-2C Parachute Survival Ensembles (PSE's) and components manufactured by SEI for NAWCWD under Contract N68936-98-D-0077 and N68936-00-G-0001. This order will provided the contractor with the funding and directions for transporting the E-2C Thin-Pack Assemblies from the Contractor's facility to the destination points specified by the Navy. Units may be shipped directly to Northrop-Grumman for incorporation into E-2C aircraft being deployed to the Fleet. Anticipate issuance of RFP on April 8, 2002. Anticipate award by April 30, 2002. Revise Anticipated period of performance: award through September 30, 2003. FOB Origin ?GBL. SEI is the only source producing Thin-Pack Parachute Systems using the Thin-Pack/Lightweight Environmentally Sealed Parachute Assembly (LESPA) technology and is the only source to pack, mark and ship TPP systems without violating existing warranties. Thin-Pack Parachute drawing packages and associated packing, sealing, and closing processes has proprietary markings, making required design and maintenance information not releasable. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered by the Agency. Interested parties other than SEI must respond in writing (via mail, email, or fax) demonstrating the offeror's experience and capabilities in parachutes incorporating the Thin-Pack technology and the level of maintenance support required by the Government.
