Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington DC (FISCNORDETWASH) has a requirement in support of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Detachment (PESO), Annapolis, MD for "TENSILE STRENGTH TESTER UPGRADE PEC: 6625-0000-0000". The requirement is for a digital servo control with data acquisition system to upgrade the capabilities of existing Tinius Olsen, Satec, Baldwin, or Instron manually controlled Hydraulic Tensile Strength Testing Machine with dial display. Delivery will be FOB destination to different locations (N00181-Norfolk Naval Shipyard, N00102 Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, N00251 Pudget Sound Naval Shipyard, N32253 Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediates) (NOTE: DELIVERY CAN ONLY BE MADE DURING THE HOURS OF 6:30 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. 72 HOUR PRIOR NOTICE REQUIRED). The type of contract will be Firm-Fixed Price. The proposed contract is being considered as a 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns, as defined by FAR clause 52.219-6. Interested Small Businesses should provide the contracting office as early as possible, but not later than 12APR02, evidence of their capability to perform the contract, and a positive statement of their eligibility as a small business. A manufacturer or regular dealer submitting an offeror in its own name agrees to furnish, end items manufactured or produced by small business concerns inside the Untied States, its territories and possessions, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, or the District of Columbia. If adequate response is not received from small business concerns, the solicitation will instead be issued, without further notice, as: Unrestricted. Therefore, replies to this notice are also requested from Large Business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a request for the solicitation.
