- Description
- The General Services Administration intends to issue a sole source contract to Kana Communications Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii) and utilizing the Simplified Acquisition procedures under authority and limits of FAR Part 13. The contract will be in support of the Defense Manpower and Data Center located in Seaside, California. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 02-06. The objective of this contract will be to buy the standard maintenance and support agreement for an additional year from date of award. This renewal of maintenance and support is in support of the previously procured and implemented software: Kana EJB Studio for Application Development 7.0, Kana EJB Studio for Business Management 7.0, Kana EJB Studio for System Administration 7.0, Kana EJB Service eAgent Portal 7.0. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received by 4:00 p.m., PST, 4/8/02 will be considered by the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by email at fred.hersom@gsa.gov.
