- Description
- The VA Puget Sound Health Care System intends to issue a sole source contract to Philips Medical Systems NA; 22100 Bothel Everett Hwy; Bothel WA 98021 for the diagnostic service, repair, and upgrade of operation software for the Philips MRI (Model 6000). Equipment is located at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System; 1660 Columbian Way, Seattle, WA. The period of performance will be approximately May 1, 2002 thru April 30, 2003 plus four option renewal periods. The basis for the proposed non-competitive action is software support services for an existing proprietary Philips MRI operational software license which no other possesses the capability to satisfy this requirement. Contractor must have a Philips Medical Systems NA license to service existing Philips Medical System software. In addition to the requirement for license, the contractor must have staff expertise and capacity to service the subject software. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer within ten (10) days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer. All replies and statements of capability must be in writing via e-mail to William.Thompson@med.va.gov or faxed to 253 589 4027 attn: William W. Thompson, VA Puget Sound Health Care System, 9600 Veterans Drive., Tacoma, WA 98493-5000. The requester must include the RFQ number, requester's name, address, telephone and Fax Number. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA Puget Sound Health Care System will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Philips Medical Systems NA.
