Description

UTILITY TRAILER. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01. Solicitation provision at FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal, applies. Award will be based on best value to the Government, taking into consideration delivery, price and price related factors. Award will be made to the lowest price Offeror best demonstrating the ability to satisfy the technical capabilities of the items specified. Offerors of any equal must provide descriptive literature to this office for evaluation prior to close out date stated above. Offerors are encouraged to include information regarding these evaluation factors in their quotes. All line items will be awarded on a single purchase order. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (website: http://ccr2000.com) or by calling and registering prior to receiving award: (888) 352-9333. Instructions of Offerors for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-1 applies. Evaluation for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-2, will be used to evaluate items as consistent with below stated description of requirements. Contractor/vendor will submit a completed copy of the FAR Part 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Oct 2000). Contract Terms and Conditions for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status or Executive Orders for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition. FAR Part 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment (Aug 1996) is incorporated by reference. Shipping is FOB Destination: Little Rock AFB AR. Quote must be received by close of business, 4:00 PM CST, 10 Apr 2002 and may be received by FAX or e-mail to Points of Contracts as listed on this notice not later than the response date as stated above. Commercial warranty is required. Business size standard is: $__6.0 million per year; the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) _5599_ and/or the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) __441229__. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: Item 1: Utility Trailer - Deep Blue in color. 18'2inches overall length, 8'2 inch width, 8' Height. Interior box length of 14'5 inch, width of 6'8 inch and height of 6'1 inch. Platform height of no more than 21 inch. Minimum payload capacity of 4725 lbs. Floor made of 3/4 inch pressure treated plywood with walls made from 3/8 inch plywood. Frame should be constructed of 6 inch I Beam. Standard features to include: Dexter Torflex Axles, E-Z Lube Hubs with grease zerks, Premium radial tires, White directional wheels, Aluminum Exterior Fenders and .30 Smooth Exterior Aluminum. Qty: 1 Ea Item 2: Rear Ramp Door - entire width of trailer Qty: 1 Ea Item 3: 110 Volt Electrical Package consiting of two 6' Florescent Lights, two wall switches, four interior wall receptacles (2 Gang) and one 30 amp panel with 25'lifeline plus cable hatch.
