Description

NA The project entails repairs to 300 lineal feet of the southern face of the West Center Pier. The pier section consists of a reinforced concrete cap supported by timber cribbing. The work consists of placement of steel sheet pile along the face on the struc ture including removal of underwater rock outcroppings along the face of the ledge rock, and removal of rock along the toe of the ledge rock to facilitate placement of steel sheet pile. The work will also require placement of grout and stone fill behind th e steel sheet pile, excavation of surface fill behind tyhe concrete cap, minor repairs to the concrete cap, supplementing missing timber crib fill material, and placement of bituminous surface adjacent to the concrete cap. This project is unrestricted. The estimated cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The NAICS Code is 234990. The solicitation will be available at www.lre.usace.army.mil on or about 16 May 2002.
