Description
The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division intends to negotiate for multi-year time-and-materials, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract for engineering support services for the United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) HEALY. The USCGC HEALY is a Polar Class Icebreaker, and the services required would include, but not be limited to, the following activities: engineering studies, specifications development, engineering field services, Single System Vendor (SSV) contract coordination, subcontracts management, test and evaluation, configuration management, Integrated Logistics Support, and project planning and reporting. The contract will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. The solicitation will be issued on or about 29 April 2002, with a proposal closing date of on or about 29 May 2002. Period of performance will commence on 01 October 2002 and conclude 30 September 2003 for the base year. If all options are exercised, the period of performance will conclude 30 September 2007. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts, loans are available under DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
