Description

NA The project consists of pipeline dredging approximately 867,000 cubic yards comprised of shell and maintenance material, to a required depth of 9 feet below Mean Low Tide and 2 feet of allowable over depth for 15,000 linear feet of the project channel with a bottom width of 150 feet. The dredged material will be utilizes to construct three (3) complex designated Beneficial Use Sites (BUSs). The BUSs will include a new stone breakwater, geotextile tube contained marsh restoration, and a new oyster reef pad to be constructed of shell from the required dredging. There will be no levee work. Estimated cost range: $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 234990. The Small Busi ness Size Standard is 28.5 Million and will be advertised UNRESTRICTED. The Galveston District subcontracting goals are: Small Business, 61.4%; Small Disadvantages Business, 9.1%; Women-Owned Small Business 5.0%; Veteran-Owned Small Business 3.0%; Hub zo ne Small Business 3.0%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 3.0%. Bid Opening will be held in room 175. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge on the issue date. Notification of amendments shall be made through paper or the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractor?s responsibility to check the following add ress daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance at the following Internet address: Http://www.swg.usace.army.mil/ct.
