Description

NA This is notice of intent to negotiate sole source with Terawave Communications, Inc., 30680 Huntwood Avenue, Hayward, CA 94544 (a small business). United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) for a Passive Optical Network (PON) Test Bed System (PONTBS) . NO WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED and a technical data package is not available. No equipment substitutions are acceptable as this particular (PON) system integration is being used as test bed. This acquisition is considered commercial in nature as the items are off-the-shelf commercial items and award terms will be based on FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only notice of this acquisition and competitive proposals are not being requested. USAYPG intends to award this contract to Terawa ve on the 10th day after publication of this notice. The small business standard SIC code 5065/NAICS 421690 (500 employees or less) applies. This PON equipment as configured by Terawave will be used for evaluation purposes only against applications involvi ng utilization of mobile instrumentation vans that interface into the Range Digital Telecommunications System (RDTS) at USAYPG. This equipment will be tested to prove its networking, low speed data and voice applications in a test bed scenario. The system consists of OLT common ANSI/ETSI, OLT ANSI Only, OLT ETSI Only, ONT Common ANSI/ETSI, ONT ANSI Only, ONT ETSI Only and right to use licensing. Terawave is the original developer of this particular equipment that has been integrated into a system specifical ly for form, fit and function with the existing Government Range Digital Transmission System (RDTS). Terawave possesses all proprietary systems design configuration and software rights to the PON. Delivery of the PONTSB will be within 30 days after award.
