Description
The U.S. Geological Survey?s Western Fisheries Research Center in Seattle, Washington has a requirement with two major components: (1) Installation of a drainage system for existing sub-grade electrical vaults and (2) Construction of a parking lot and associated outdoor lighting improvements. Smaller aspects of the project include, but are not limited to (a) Installation of four new vaults located adjacent to the existing four banks of three vaults each and (b) Provide construction of a curbed 40 space parking lot north of the existing Wet lab Building and install new concrete sidewalks; (c) paving the rear perimeter road and correction of associated drainage/grade problems; and (d) install alternate rear perimeter road lighting. Specific work requirements are set forth in the statement of Work and drawings as an enclosure to the IFB. Requests for the IFB 02HQSS0009 must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Brenda Donnelly, MS 205K,in writing via regular mail at the address cited above, by fax at (703-648-7901) or email at bdonnell@usgs.gov . There is a fee of $50.00 for a copy of the plans for this project. Please submit your check or money order to the Contracting Officer for $50.00 payable to ?DOI/U.S. Geological Survey?. Payment that does not accompany the request for the IFB package could delay your receipt of the package. The Government cannot be held responsible for any delay caused by non-receipt of payment or due to delays in the mail. Arrangements can be made to inspect the plans without charge by contacting the Contracting Officer. Requests must clearly state the company name and mailing address, a point of contact and phone/fax/e-mail info. We anticipate issuance of the IFB on or about April 17, 2002 with a bid opening date of 30 days thereafter. The magnitude of the construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The SIC code is 1711 and the corresponding NAICS code is 23511. The proposed procurement listed is being issued as an UNRESTRICTED acquisition pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. A site visit is scheduled for 10 days after the issuance of the IFB, this will be the only site visit scheduled. The performance period will be 45 Calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
