Description
NA DTRA is contemplating issuing a negotiated Sole Source modification to Contract DTRA01-00-C-0009 with Mission Research Corporation (MRC) to add additional work. The proposed work is based on unique capabilities developed by MRC in their detailed modeling of the earth-solar wind interaction using concepts originally developed in detailed high altitude nuclear phenomenology prediction codes (ISM). This code currently is being developed on the DTRA CRAY computer. Continuation of this development in an effic ient manner and proper utilization of the code in a rapid prediction mode will require that the code migrate from the CRAY to an HPC massively parallel processor computer. The proposed work statement involves the means of this migration. The estimated doll ar value of this action is $990,000.00.
