Description
The contractor shall mow the grass at the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) site located at Matagorda, TX. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, mowing equipment and fuel required to accomplish this task. This order will be issued on a fixed priced basis only. The period of performance is tentatively planned to start on or around 19 April 2002 and continue through 30 September 2002. Each site contains approximately 16 acres of grass area. All areas on the site that contain grass to include the area within the fence line and the area between the exterior double fence shall be mowed. The site shall be mowed twice a month during daylight hours, approximately on the 1st and 16th days of the month. After mowing, grass shall not exceed five (5) inches in height. The contractor shall maintain all required forms of insurance for their business and employees in accordance local, state, and federal regulations. The government will not be liable for any injuries received on government property pursuant to SOW requirements. Copies of insurance documentation must be submitted to the Contracting Office before performance on this contract can begin. The Contractor shall conduct all work effort in a safe manner. Minimum safety provisions shall include wearing of protective equipment if applicable. Government representatives will periodically conduct quality surveillance at each site throughout the contract period to check contractor performance. In the event that this effort is terminated before the planned end of the performance period then the government will give at a minimum fifteen (15) day notice. The government is not responsible for any termination costs associated with this effort when the proper fifteen day notice has been given. Additionally, the government will not be responsible for any severance costs due to early termination or the end of performance period. Invoicing for services is authorized once a month, on the last day of the month in which in the services were received.
