Description

Provide and Install PA System This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Please contact the primary point of contact for copy of the solictation package. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (website: http://ccr2000.com) or by calling and registering prior to receiving award: Business size standard is: Fewer than 100 employees; the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 5046 and/or the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)421440. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: The 62AS needs to install a PA system into Bldg 266 Canon Drive. Work will entail the design, acquisition, and installation of all required equipment. This system needs to be a 4 zone paging system compatible with a Nortel DMS-100 phone switch allowing access to the PA system from any phone in the building. There will be approximately 100 speakers located throughout the facility using internal volume controls on each. The building will be subdivided into three operational zones and one broadcast zone. Submitted proposals must meet all requirements specified in the 62AS PA System Statement of Work before contract award. Awarded contractor will design, provide and install a multi zone public address system throughout the building. Provide paging by zones. Provide 4 paging zones each to be accessed though base PBX phone system from any office telephone. Installed PA equipment must be compatible with the base phone system which utilizes a Nortel DMS 100 phone switch. The building will be divided into 3 major zones (1st Operations section, 2nd Command/Flight offices, and 3rd Maintenance section) the 4th zone will be a broadcast zone to reach all sections of the building simultaneously. Provide speakers with integral volume control in all areas of the building except electrical rooms, mechanical rooms, communications closets and janitors closets. Utilize only ceiling mounted speakers with integral volume control. Speaker size and placement shall be such that the system can be easily understood throughout the facility without any audible distortion.
