Description
TITLE? STRUCTURAL FIRE TRAINING SIMULATORS This synopsis is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The AMC Contracting Flight anticipates issuance of a Brand Name or Equal solicitation for the purchase of ten (10) Wesco Lieutenant's, Model # WH-3S structural fire training simulators, to be delivered and assembled at ten (10) sites. The structure must meet the following minimum specifications: 1) Must be a three story, steel corrugated painted training tower at least 18'Lx16'Wx34'H with flat roof; roof live load of 100 PSF; wind load of 25 PSF; Interior Stairs to the3rd floor level; Interior Fixed Ladder from the 3rd floor to attic, Eight 3'x4' window openings with steel shutters, Two 21/2'x3' window openings with steel shutters; One 3'x7' Exterior Metal Door (Flush two Sides); One 3'x7' Interior Metal Door (Flush One Side); One 4'x4' Roof Chop-out Hatch; A Parapet Roof Guard with Chair Opening. The Burn Room Annex shall be 14'Lx16'Wx9'H, Single Pitched Standing Seam Roof, 1/2'in 12', Roof Live load of 100 PSF; Wind Load of 25 PSF; three 3' x 4' Window Openings with Steel Shutters, One 3'x7' Exterior Metal Door (Flush one side), and one Insulation & Temperature Monitoring System. The Training Simulator must also include the following Options: 1) Fire Department Connection, with riser; 2) 2nd Floor Balcony; 3) Six Repelling Points; 4) Extra Burn Area; 5) Ship's Ladder, Top Interior Deck to Roof with Bilco Hatch; 6) Caged Ladder, per 10' section; 7) Fire Escape with doors to third interior deck; 8) Install propane plumbing to one room of the facility; 9) Provide for a Fire Crash Training area. The simulator must meet structural certifications and recurring proficiency requirements in accordance with DODI 6055.6, Air Force Instruction 32-2001, NFPA 1500, and NFPA 1001. Request contractors interested in providing the Wesco Lieutenant, Model # WH-3S structural fire training simulators, Brand Name or Equal product, submit a description of their product, listing all the salient characteristics. For purposes of this Request For Information (RFI), the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for is 3448 and the corresponding NAICS code is 332311. The small Business size is 500.
