- The purpose of this modification synopsis is to change the description on line items 0003 - 0005. The description is hereby changed as follows: The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement for the following: 1) 1 each of flat bar NICU per QQ-N-281 Cl-A, Form-1, Cond HF (hot finished), 3.500" thick x 8.5" wide x 72" long. 2) 1 each of Round Bar NICU MIL-N-24106 hot finished, Cond-H, Type-1 Fin A or B, 2.750" diameter x 16' long. 3) 1 each of Flat Bar NICU per QQ-N-281, Cl-A form-1 Cond HF (hot finished), 3.500" thick x 8.5" wide x 72" long. 4) 1 each of Flat Bar, NICU QQ-N-281, Cl-A, Form-1 Cond HF (hot finished), 3.500" thick x 8.5" wide x 72" long. 1 each of Flat Bar NICU QQ-N-281, Cl-A form-1 cond HF (hot finished), 3.500" thick x 8.5" wide x 72" long. Delivery (FOB Destination) is required to the Naval Submarine Base Bangor no later than 16 May 2002. The procedures of FAR Part 12, commercial acquisition will be utilized. THE GOVERNMENT ANTICIPATES THAT FINAL NEGOTIATED PRICING WILL BE THROUGH A REVERSE AUCTION. The RFQ has been posted on the Navy Electronic commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors shall check the website periodically for the posting of the solicitation. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 02 April 2002. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 02 April 2002, with offers due on or about 12 April 2002. All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to mary_j_beauchamp@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. Copies of MIL/FED specs, QPL, may be obtained from the ASSIST database on the Internet at http://assist.daps.mil. Delivery schedule/period of contract performance. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents.
