- Arizona Private Detention Services Solicitation - Solicitation MS-99-D-0004. At the time of issuance the projected start date for work under the resulting contract would start November 2002. For offerors in the competitive range a solicitation amendment will be issued. The projected start date remains unchanged. This solicitation was originally issued with a requirement of up to 2,000 prisoners per day. This solicitation was issued to provide a contract for the housing and detention of all U.S. Marshals detainees (plus some from Bureau of Prisons and Immigration and Naturalization Service) except those housed in governmental facilities (i.e. Federal, State and Local jail facilities). Since that time the need for jail space has increased. Accordingly the maximum capacity under this solicitation will be increased by amendment from 2,000 prisoners per day to 3,000 prisoners per day.
