Description
This notice is being issued as a combined sources sought synopsis/solicitation. The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center?s has a requirement to procure fifty (50) each Seals, plain, encased, Stock Number 5330-01-485-8402, John Crane-Lips P/N H70069020011430. Seal is rubber neoprene overall, non-split body, 114.3 MM ID, used on the Rudder and Canard Assembly onboard the 87? WPB Coast Guard vessels. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination, and shall be made to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Columbia Warehouse Annex, 6751 Alexander Bell Drive, Columbia, MD 21046, no later than 29 June 2002. It is the Government?s intention to award a purchase order to John Crane-Lips and/or their authorized distributors. It is the Government?s belief that only John Crane-Lips, and/or their authorized distributors, can provide these seals. The technical and engineering data required to successfully manufacture these seals is proprietary information to John Crane-Lips, therefore, only John Crane-Lips P/N H70069020011430 shall be accepted. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and TAM 1206.302. See Numbered Note 22. Interested sources that can provide the part number being requested may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. Responses to this notice are due by the close of business on 12 April 2002. Quotations submitted in response to this notice must contain the following information: (1) REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NUMBER DTCG40-02-Q-50083; (2) Complete company name, address, telephone and fax numbers, federal tax identification number, and DUNS number; (3) Item name and description, stock number, part number, quantity, unit and total prices; (4) proposed delivery schedule (based on the number of calendar days after award); (5) verification that each item shall be individually preserved, packaged, bar coded, and shipped in accordance with best commercial practices; and (6) completion of the Representations and Certifications contained in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.212-3 (APR 2002), entitled Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. Offerors may obtain full text of this provision at www.arnet.gov. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 339991, with a business size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-06. The following clauses shall apply to the resultant award: (1) FAR 52.212-2, Instruction to Offerors ? Commercial Items (JAN 1999); (2) FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items (FEB 2002); and (3) FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders (DEC 2001). The specific clauses of FAR 52.212-5 that shall be applied to the resultant award shall be FAR 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities (FEB 1999); FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity (E.O. 11246); FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; FAR 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; FAR 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222-19 Child Labor ? Cooperation with Authorities and Remedies; FAR 52.225-1 Buy American Act ? Balance of Payments Program ? Supplies; 52.225-13 Restrictions on Certain Foreign Purchases; and FAR 52.232-33 Payments by Electronics Funds Transfer ? Central Contractor Registration.
