- Description
- Construct a new approximate 9,000 SF facility adjacent to the existing Youth Center facility at McConnell AFB, KS. The project includes expanding an existing parking lot and installing a playground. The project includes options for enhanced landscaping and installation of a ball field at a nearby location. This is a nonappropriated fund purchase and does not obligate apppropriated funds of the United States Government. Nonappropriated funds are generated by the military community through the sale of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs. This purchase does not involve federal tax dollars. The magnitude of construction is estimated at between $1 million and $5 million. The performance period will be 480 days. The solicitation will be posted on or about 5 April 2002. A site visit is planned for Tuesday, 23 April 2002, beginning at 9:00 AM. Please contact Mark Golden, alternate contract administrator, at (316) 759-4531, not later than 12:00 noon if you wish to participate in the site visit. Proposals will be due at 22 CONS/LGCA (Base Contracting) on McConnell AFB not later than 4:30 PM local time on 7 May 2002.
