Description
NA The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is soliciting a contractor to provide scientific and technical support at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL), Fort Rucker Alabama. The USAARL has primary mission responsibil ity to conduct applied laboratory and field research, development, and assessment to determine psychological, physiological, sensorimotor, and biochemical aspects of soldier's response to multiple stressors associated with modern Army equipment, operations and tactics, doctrinal mission, and developmental systems. In support of these mission areas, multidisciplinary research projects, which encompass the disciplines of medicine, physiology, psychology, biomedical engineering, and aviation are conducted. T hese projects range from basic research in human cognitive functioning to complex programs addressing aircrew performance during sustained operations. Because of increasing task requirements and significant shortfalls in in-house scientific and technical personnel, frequently problems are encountered in the timely execution of research required in these areas. Therefore, USAMRAA expects to award a one-year contract with four one-year options for contributive research and research support contract to assis t in-house research personnel in effecting more timely research responsiveness within these mission area responsibilities. Work will be assigned through individual task orders. RFP DAMD17-02-R-0007 to be issued on or about 26 April 2002. Proposals due 7 5 days after issue date.
