- Added files placed at end of attachments. <P> Amendment 4. <P> a. This amendment issues the draft Contract Data Requirements List and Data Item Descriptions (CDRLs and DIDs), Attachment J-2 to the draft Screening Information Request (SIR) for the Rapid Preliminary Development Effort (RPDE) of the NEXCOM program. <P> b. The purpose of this amendment is to obtain Industry comment on the draft Contract Data Requirements List and associated Data Item Descriptions. Comments to draft CDRLs and DIDs may be submitted at anytime, but the Government does not guarantee that a response will be provided prior to issuance of the final RPDE SIR on April 17, 2002. Comments shall be provided on comment form previously provided. <P> Amendment 3: Replaced UHF PD with latest version. <P> Amendment 2: Replaced J-8 - Corrected corrupted table. <P> Amendment 1: Replaced Table of Contents <P> The purpose of this announcement is to obtain Industry comment on the draft Screening Information Request (SIR) for the Rapid Preliminary Development Effort (RPDE) of the NEXCOM program. This announcement is for information only and not a request for proposals. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA shall not be liable for any costs associated with the preparation of comments/responses to this public announcement or draft SIR. Comments to this draft package are due back no later than March 20, 2002. The comments should be provided to Mr. Matthew Asai, ASU-330, Federal Aviation Administration, 800 Independence Avenue S.W., Washington D.C. 20591. Comments and any questions regarding this draft package may be sent to the contracting officer via email at Matt.Asai@faa.gov. See attached table of contents for a complete list of documents contained in this draft release. Please note that the FAA is not releasing the Data Item Description (DIDs) at t! his time. The FAA expects to release the DIDs before issuance of the final SIR. The FAA anticipates releasing the final SIR on or about April 17, 2002. <P>
