Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will conduct a three day National Procurement Conference and Trade Show May 6 - 8, 2002 at the Alexis Park Resort & Spa (375 East Harmon, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101, 1-800-453-8000). The conference will be hosted by the FAA Washington Headquarters, Great Lakes Region, Central Region and Alaskan Region. This national outreach event will include procurement decision makers representing all nine FAA regions, two centers and Washington Headquarters to discuss current and planned procurement opportunities, provide one-on-one counseling and view industry products and services. This event is designed to expand procurement opportunities for all businesses, with emphasis on small, women-owned and disadvantaged businesses. The conference theme is "FAA and Industry A Winning Partnership For The 21st Century". <P> CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS: <P> 1. TWO-DAY CONFERENCE/WORKSHOPS/NETWORKING <P> - Information on upcoming procurement requirements, technical briefings from end users, legislative, executive, technical panel discussions, annual procurement forecast requirements, solicitation and bidding processes, mentor-protege program guidance, small business assistance programs, small business prime and subcontracting goals, certification procedures, set-aside/subcontracting opportunities, policy updates and much more. <P> 2.
