Description
The Office of Personnel Management is preparing to release a soliciting for conference facility, audiovisual support, sleeping accommodations, parking, and food services for OPM's four and one-half day Symposium on Employee and Labor Relations Conference to be held between March 2003 and April 2003, excluding weeks with holidays or religious holidays before or after the conference for a maximum of 1,200 Federal employee professionals. A number of facilities may be combined in the nearby area to equal the maximum number of sleeping rooms, although preference will be given to a facility able to accommodate all participants. OPM will award only one contract as a result of the solicitation. Offerors that include multiple sites in their proposal must specify a lead contractor to whom all the other sites and service providers will be considered sub-contractors. Sites must be at least 50 miles outside the Washington, D.C. area and preference will be given to those within 50 miles of an airport which services major cities in the continental United States and provides bus, limousine, or train facilities. The site must have complete overnight accommodations (individual sleeping rooms/private baths) and dining facilities for approximately 1,200 people. Preference will be given to those sites offering their sleeping rooms at the prevailing Government per diem rate inclusive of all taxes either at the conference facility and/or nearby. The RFQ will be made available no less than 15 calendar days after the posting date of this announcement. Once the RFQ has been posted potential offerors will be able to download it through the Federal Government?s procurement Website (http://www.eps.gov) or through OPM's procurement Home page (http://www.opm.gov/procure) on the World Wide Web. Upon downloading the RFQ, please send an electronic mail message to jcthieme@opm.gov containing your company's name and address. Potential offerors should also regularly check one of the procurement Websites for any amendments to the RFQ. The NAICS code for this action is 72111, Accommodations, with a small business size standard of $5 Million.
